Awe-inspiring hiking in Switzerland

Hosting our visitors in Switzerland was probably the highlight of our time there. We also found time to do some longer hikes on the weekend before we left. It's hard to think of a place that offers more hiking options: right from our house we could hike to the summit of Mannlichen...or over to Grindelwald with close-up views of the Eiger...or go exploring on the other side of the Lauterbrunnen valley with its own beautiful mountains and wild country.

We decided on two hikes. For the first one, we took a train around to Grindelwald and then hiked up and back around to Wengen, the town where we stayed. For the other day, we hiked on the other side of the valley, starting up from Lauterbrunnen.

Without further delay, here are some pictures showing the beauty of this area.

These were truly beautiful hikes that we were lucky to enjoy. We hope all of our friends and family are doing well back home, and we are looking forward to seeing you soon.
